Pakiri site up-date

While the regional park / launch area is open as per usual and accessible within the Auckland region, local groups have CLOSED the beach and beach access.

Technically that should only affect the Maori owned part closer to the road access, but I suggest not to challenge that as emotions seem to run high.

If you fly, top land. If you can't, land close to the take off site and WALK UP.

The red area on the map is council park and o.k. to access, the rest of the beach is not, including the car park and the walk way. Rumours go, no personal experience, that the yellow line roughly indicates the best way to walk up. All is quite long grass and no stroll, but manageable.
